Senior Laravel & PHP Developer

Role Overview

Innovative Technology & Engineering is looking for an experienced Senior Laravel & PHP Developer to lead backend architecture, complex database design, and mission-critical enterprise modules for our flagship ITE ERP, POS systems, and bespoke corporate software applications. You will collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product leads, and QA specialists to deliver performant, rock-solid software.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Architect, write, and maintain clean, well-tested PHP code leveraging Laravel 10/11 frameworks and design patterns.
• Design relational database schemas (MySQL / PostgreSQL), optimize complex queries, indexes, and transactions for high concurrency.
• Build, secure, and document robust RESTful APIs for web dashboards, mobile applications, and third-party integrations (payment gateways, SMS, fiscal devices).
• Implement caching layers (Redis/Memcached), queue workers, and background task scheduling.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior backend engineers, and champion engineering best practices.
• Identify bottlenecks, resolve memory leaks, and strengthen backend security against OWASP vulnerabilities.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical industry experience.
• 2 to 5+ years of intensive hands-on experience building production software with Laravel and PHP 8+.
• Solid grasp of MVC architecture, Eloquent ORM, Service Repository patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Advanced MySQL database modeling, query optimization, indexing strategies, and stored procedures.
• Experience with authentication mechanisms (Sanctum/Passport, JWT, OAuth2) and role-based permissions.
• Proficiency with Git version control, GitHub workflows, and basic Linux/Nginx server administration.
